Maureen Arellano Weston, professor of law, has been named the new associate dean for research at Pepperdine University School of Law, effective September 1, 2009. Weston earned her JD from the University of Colorado and her BA from the University of Denver, magna cum laude.

Pepperdine University School of Law will welcome 233 new students for New Student Orientation from August 19-21. The new students represent 37 states and three countries and 119 undergraduate schools. The class is 50 percent male and 50 percent female, with 42 percent of students coming from outside California. The incoming class is the most academically qualified class in the history of the law school.
